Just over one-third of Oregon's population is affiliated with an organized religion. In 2000, the leading Christian denominations were the Roman Catholic Church, with 348,239 members, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon), with 104,312 adherents. Other major Protestant groups, were the Assemblies of God, 49,357; the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, 46,807; Christian Churches and Churches of Christ, 39,011; United Methodists, 34,101; Presbyterians (USA), 33,909; and Southern Baptists, 32,433.
